Happy Belated B-day Singapore

Sinapore turned 41 this year - tonnes of sales at the mall were mimicking Singapore. I didn't take advantage of that though. Most of the time was spend cleaning and keeping house. No complaints though - such chores are taken in stride with gladness and excitment.

And guess what butons - I cooked! yes, a pretty decent meal too, I might add. Momoo's proud of me ... me too... *smirk*

But honestly, I didn't really think I'll make it that far, that is, to keep house.. Think I did durn pretty well. (",) I do really deserve a pat on my back. Well - reason being, if those of you who know me well enough, I'm never made to keep house... well.. at least, I don't do house hold chores for my full 20 odd years when I stay under my parents' roof.

Now that I have my own home - its a refreshing change to have to do everything on my own. Some might go.. "oh your poor thing..." but strangely, I am glad to find out that I'm not that "spoilt" really. I do pretty well if I do have to do it. Haha! And, I am able to manage.

So - yes, this is an achievement.

And just last week, a close friend asked me what I have recently achieved. Me ? This of course. I know some people strive to be the best at work, climb the corporate ladder and make their first million and all that tangible equations. For me, its not the objective itself, but the intangible value it means to me and to the people whom I care for.

It came as a pleasant surprise to Momoo that I am able to do so - he wasn't hopeful and yet he made that "dangerous" move. To start life with a total "spoilt" brat. Who don't cook, don't clean. Neither the laundry nor vacum/sweep the floor. He was walking on thin ice, in being domesticated male of the century. Yet, he decide - and went ahead.
