Time Zipping By Part II
where was I - ah... yes, "reformation". hehe...
somehow, not much angry words were exchanged. but, definately, another extra pair of hands to help out. To be fair, i do get the floors mopped and vacum on a weekly basis without me doing it. i was in charge of the nitty-gritty chores like - wipping hand marks on the cabinets, dust off the furniture, cleaning the toilets and sinks. But it seems that all these little chores, and plus the little chores that spans out throughout the week has taken a toil on me.
Anyway, enough about winching. All is good now.
And, speaking of reforming, our darling little phui phui is a reformed boy. Well, almost. In his second lesson on Wednesday, he and me were taught to go through the command 'Place' and 'crate'. The 'crate' was really easy because our little boy simply walked into the crate time and again without coaxing. Its amazing.
We spend a better half of the time working on the 'Place' command. I was to walk to a placement on the ground and guide phui boy onto it. He was to sit, then lie on this placement and stayed there till his given the release command.
So, it went like this - well, at least, that was what i did :
- walk to the placement and say "place"
- 'sit' .. and get phui boy to sit and give him loads of praises
- 'down'... get phui boy to lie down from his seated position
- walk off. he shouldn't be moving out of the placement
Simple as that sound, phui had master it within the first try. But we repeated that a few times - reasons being - #1, he tries to see if he can disobey. #2, there were distractions (eg. other doggies walking around) that catches his attention.
At the end of the lesson, he mastered it well, even with a golden retriever on his left, whining at him to play with him. And, on the right, a shetland, coming in for grooming session. I am proud of my little boy.
We put this class to good use this afternoon when we were going about our weekly chores. Phui was able to place even with his arch enemy, the vacum cleaner on the loose. He simply sat at his place the whole time!!!!
WOW!!!
That is indeed a passing grade for Phui boy. In fact, it was a high score. My smart, darling little Phui boy. That's my boy.
