Our New PM
its pretty disconcerting when you realise these days that some young people do not know who the new prime minister of singapore is... it seems that our youngsters are going up in a more micro-view of things

I did wanted to write more on that issue, but i realise that i didn't have the time to continue after writing a 3 liner. and now, i can't really remember what i wanted to comment on that - and besides, i reckon that the issue's a little stale for discussion.
I wrote the above on the 23rd Aug, which was early last week. More then 7 days ago. So, i'm not about to put you through stale news - or bore you with even more "the new prime minister" yabble.
I'll touch on something more light hearted - My salsa class...... salsa... that latino dance and yes, I can dance... hahahah.....
My last Beginners session in salsa was on monday. Musings about it ... Well.... i enjoyed myself tremendously. I know, it doesn't look like it since i haven't written anything about it. Its not that i'm not excited, but, i just do not have the time to jot it down and remuse what I've learnt and experience from the class.
The class had 5 sessions, teaching the basics in salsa. There was plenty of entanglements of arms and legs.... mainly, my own. In lesson 3 and 5 - i got really all confused, with all the turnings and lefts and rights... ... my right foot and left, seems to be everywhere, and most of the time in the wrong position.. .... but, I did manage to get it all right in the end. :) and indeed, i am so very proud of myself. . . :)
Those tougher sessions did really reminded me vaguely of one class i picked up last year. Its this class on dance-exercise - Gawd! that was awful. But for this round, the "entanglements" were.. well, good ones, nice ones... at least, i enjoyed myself... at least, i was motivated enough to really learn the footwork instead of just resigning to the fact that i don't really give a rat's whiskers whether i got it right or not. Haha... it was indeed lovely.
My dance partner's this really charming 16 year old - he is adorable, shy, but definately sweet. Oh, all right - he isn't REALLY 16 - but he really do look like such a little kid. Don't you simply love younger people? they are less sinister - what you see is what you get - nothing hidden.. well, of course, i can't say this for all young individuals.
I've signed myself up for Beginners 2 in salsa - and am really looking forward to the beginning of class 2 weeks later. In the meantime, i'm going to get as much practice as i can. its strange how addictive it can get once one get all head over heels with it. I think i'm beginning to fall in love with the dance. love the beauty, love the grace.
