HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHUI PHUI
Happy Birthday little boy! Well, I'm late in blogging it. (",) Been too busy celebrating this milestone event for little phui.
PD and I had taken leave from office to spend this important day with our little boy. His finally 1 year old. And, PD and I have never regretted bringing him home. Well, maybe PD in the initial first weeks. But, its difficult for PD to give him up anymore I'm sure. (",)
We started our day with a little emails from work (yes, we cannot escape from that. sigh) and we were off to Changi village for some morning dim sum. About the only place that we can go with phui phui in tow. It was a lovely morning - neither humid nor baking sunshine. . It did drizzle a little and it made little phui's feet all black and eeky. Thank God for puppy wipes! Cleans off the grim in a jiffy. Hehe.
It continued to pour in the morning as we made our way to collect little phui's birthday cake from US Doggie bakery. Strawberry Cream Cheese. YUMMY! Looks yummy enough. We were a tad bit early, hence, the lady was a little grumpy. However, she lighten up and smiled even when I told her that its my puppy's 1st birthday, so, only 1 candle is required. And I pointed out to her how my little puppy looks like as phui phui was pouring on the dashboard of our car parked in front of the bakery.
She laughed. "that's a huge little 1 year old" - and she went on to be really nice and chatted for a while. (",) I'm glad it was a good start to her day.
We headed home as it was still pouring.

Part 2 of Phui's Big Day
Cake Eating session - of course, we couldn't discount on the photo taking. We took loads of photos. From phui posing with the birthday cake, to him woofing them down greedily with cream cheese on his snout and him trying to lick the cream off. He was gobbling down all the strawberries and cream cheese and not even touching the cake - arrrrgggghhh...
So, PM comes to the rescue. I have to cut it and feed him with cream cheese on top.
Phui loved his birthday cake. (",) Not to mention that he gobbled the entire birthday cake on his own. Little mounts did go to PM... yummy! mummy agrees that its nice too..

Part 3 : Phui's Day in the Fields with his very own basketball
The rain stopped and the weather was lovely! We decided against bringing Phui to Sentosa, in case, we meet more dim CAMs again there. Its phui's birthday, we're suppose to be all happy. (".) So, lets avoid.
We brought him to the dog run and to our delight, it was empty and we had phui chased after his favourite basketball. We were just throwing the ball around from one end of the field to the other, and phui was chasing the ball from one end to another. It does sound quite boring - but strangely, our little boy was really happy to run after the ball.
The usual doggie pool was empty - and phui was puzzled when he wondered over to dip himself off from the heat of the run and weather. He paced the lenght of the pool looking pensive. In the end, PD did a made-shift pool at the water point area. We hose phui down and phui sat sprawled on the cool, blue tiles. He gave us a blissful and contented look. (",)

Having all his play and quantity time with his daddy and mummy, phui also had his fill of food. Here's what his eaten the entire day
1) 1 bowl of milk for the morning
2) 1/2 a cup of dry kibbles
3) 300g of Strawberry Cream Cheese Cake
4) 200g of meat + carrots [dinner]
5) 1 bowl of milk for supper
6) durian treats from daddy
7) 2 milk bone treats from daddy
By the end of the day, we notice phui phui had a huge-huge-huge tummy. We were wondering was it caused by the food, or our little boy has put on weight at the wrong areas. hmmmmm...
But all the same - A very very very Happy birthday to our little boy!
[ps - i had 1 fren sms-ing early phui phui early morning to wish him happy birthday. thanks - keai! I had another colleague calling and singing happy birthday to little phui in the evening...... heheh... thanks pepper's mummy.]
