backtrack sunday
its a little slow in response i know, its already mid week, and here i am honking on what i did on sunday. But really, i just can't let that day past un-noted.
had a wonderful gathering at my brother's place for dinner on sunday evening. we were greeted as usual at the door by joey and jade, the 2 naughty fellas that terrorise the courtyard, were, surprisingly in the hall slobbering around the living room, i suppose. Joey's a wonderfully adorable, but, hopelessly carelss golden retriever. Jade's, the ever sly, however beautiful siberian husky. They make the perfect host really.. they make everyone of us that past through the door feel greatly welcome from the fervor they exude. but, before anyone can take a step through the thresh-hold, out comes Jeanie. Oooo.... it was chaotic. Jeanie was stunned by good old jo and jade being a hair's breathe away from the both of them.. and... did i mention that Jeanie's a pretty unfrenly maltese ? The minute they locked eyes, Jean growled her head off, and Jade.. awesome; she was so quick. she snooped down, and grabbed Jean by her back. Major struggle took place, loads of fur and paws, i have to add..
It was kinda funnie. Well, cz none of the dogs were injured, that's why we could all laugh at it. Jean gets attacked at last. after throwing her weight around and bullying joey for more then a year. A mutiny took place and kicked her off her throne i guess. Jade was being absoulately fierce then, but, well, at least she didn't really bite.. she usually don't (err.. despite the fact that she was a convicted murderer of a baby squrriel a couple of months back)
After settling down- both humans and canine had a nice time of chatting. Before long, another visitor at the door - this time, the silky terrier, Portia. Jo and Jade were as enthuiastic as ever, and ran for the door - poor portia - she was taken aback by the sudden warmth of the two big guys. It was her first time visiting, and she totally freaked out. She was trying to climb up tables and sofas.. poor girl. In the end, we had to drag jade out, cz she refused to stop haunting portia. For jo, he got sick after awhile when she didn't respond to him to play with him.
It was really great - we didn't do much, but just watched the dogs played with them. Little pleasures in life i should say. :) I'm glad that my family loves animals. My sis-in-laws are darlings when it comes to pets. they're simply wonderful. And, I am glad that my mum loves them too - My mum's fantastic. I'm glad that i've got a mother who fussies over dogs and cats more then any other mom. She's a great gal, and my best fren anyday, though she can be quite annoying at times.. but then again, aren't all girl frens like that ? hahhahaha..
