The Scary Water
Phui Phui had a fun time over the weekends, despite leaving his mummy and daddy sore from all the throtting after him, having to drag him off a pretty looking golden retriever and also scooping him out of the water when he gets frantic while swimming in the doggie pool.
The weather was cool, and the blue water in the doggie pool looked inviting. Well, more to us, then Phui actually. So, we coax him into the pool. He swammed around short distances without any problems, but tries to get out of the pool every chance his got. His final round, PD puts him in the pool and told him to swim the breathe of the pool - its probably about the length of a small aisle at church.
Phui boy started off well and we cheered him on - me, on the other end, hands out, ready to scoope him out of the water.
But, lo and behold, before he reached the other end, and just 1 baby finger out of his mummy's reach, Phui Phui panicked and started to fling his paws wildly about. There were alot of splashes and a huge commotion. He then turned on his back and continued to fligh his paw out.... That got me on my fours and try to reach little phui. Tried with everything I had - but I simply couldn't get hold of his tiny paw.
In his frantic state, I could see he was frighten. Poor little thing... In his fright, he swam further and further away from the water's edge, away from me. Fortunately, PD ran over to my side and stretched out, grab phui's flinging paw and dragged phui back to safety. Thank goodness!!!!
If that didn't happen, we were about to get into the doggie pool to pick him up.
Poor phui he was towelled dry and hugged.
After 1 nano sec, he struggled out of our hugs and kisses and ran off to play again. . .
Oh well - so much for a frighten bull terrier. (",)
