Part 1 of My Weekend

I've got my nails done this noon at the Good Earth. It wasn't planned.. PD and I were at the mall early morning to get this N95. Yes, the new nokia model is just launched today. To our surprise, there was a queue outside SingTel shop. No, there weren't any promotions, and neither were any phones were being given out for free.. nor... were there a 50% or 30% discount off phones. There was... well... a queue even before the Hello shop was open!

Unfortunately, PD and I arrived the last amongst these early birds. Just before our foot got to that same level as the Hello! shop, the shop was open, and we saw scores of people rushing into the shop to queue.

We joined the queue. And PD got his phone after about 45min later.

In the midst of all that, we decided that I should get a pedicure done while PD heads home to clean up the house.

And we did just that (",) I didn't mention before that PD is an excellent cleaner of homes did I ? Well, he is. His the chief vacum-er and mopp-er of our little castle.

*yes. I am a lucky girl in more ways then one* Tee-hee-hee...

Did I ever mention that having one's nails done alone can be a haven? Well, I didn't ever realise that until today. It was fantastic... somehow, that thought just popped into my head while I was enjoying the nice bubbly water at my feet and just sitting in the soft comfortable large armchair.

Mmmmmmmm... extremely relaxing.

After an hour - I have wonderful toe nails. Whoppie! The experience -- Priceless indeed!!! I should get use to such kind of "pampering". Hmmmmmm... Its a wonder what lovely nails can do to a person. hahahahah... suddenly feel very beautiful inside lor!!! Very pretty lor... seldom do this kind of this mah....

Ok, enough of ah-lian talk... it does send shivers down your spine doesn't it?

Anyway - part of my part 1 weekend, which is mostly PD and mine weekend highlight. Phui's weekly session with his playmates and the dogrun. There were plenty of frens to play with, but, his found an equally mischevious, and equally rough playmate today - they had their fair share of fun in the doggie-pool and horsing around the open air cafeteria... to sharing mini banana muffins.

Here's a couple of clips that PD took with his brand new N95 :

And, here's phui - on our way back home. He somehow manage to jump from the back seat into the boot (we're a hachback car)

hallo mummy! hallo daddy! Look, I'm in the boot having fun. DADDY, I LOVE YOUR CAR

oh look, passer by! *distracted*

AMBUSH!!!

My poor little phui phui got ambushed by a golden retriever last Sunday. He was playing in the doggie-pool with his new found fren, little Niki. She's a puppy samoy that is equally mischevious and hyper active.

The result of the ambush : 1 bloody ear and a deep scratch on the forehead.

We had to put tac powder on his little ear, but it didn't go away even when we applied it.
The bleeding wouldn't stop till I literally poured the powder on him. And, his turned a tint of yellow now due to this. Tee-heeh-heeh

Yellow phui didn't seem to be too hindered by the episode. With his caked up blood that looked like the doggie-brownie that he was given due to his 'ordeal', he went on playing with the rest of his frens.

PD and I honestly think that we were more traumatised then Phui himself. And, we definately feel that goldie seems to have targetted phui for bullying. :( Its been the 2nd time that his done that to this little, mild-mannered bully.

Sigh...

Strange And Frisky Owners

As again, Phui caused quite a stir again at the dog run yesterday. He was playing innocently with a puppy golden retriever at the pool. Honestly, the only reason why we do allow Phui to play with puppies are that : as his owners, we are confident that he will never use his teeth to play, not even the slightest nip.

Phui has played with many a puppy - and the worse he ever did was accidentally stepping on their overly log tail with his clumsy paw. Even when he does that, he will quickly hop away from the puppy and stare on, looking worried. He is usually extremely careful when he plays with them.

Its adoring when you watch him play with these tiny ones. He'll take extra care not to hurt them. He'll stick his front paw (also known as his hands) out to nudge them. I'm not too sure if its an effort put in to make sure they don't stumble... or... to purposely topple them. Hehe...

However, this frisky owner of the goldie totally freaked out when Phui started to play with his goldie. The owner seems to be inflicting more damage to his own pup by forcefully dragging that little pup out of Phui's way. He did it the way anyone would to try to fish something toward them - only, in this situation, it was a leash, and, at the end of it - a tiny little golden retriever that's probably about 3months old.

He was dragging the poor little thing from under the table.

At this point, Phui decided not to be outdone and that he wasn't going to let anyone stop him from playing from his new found playmate. Phui had to give chase to the dragged puppy. All hell broke loose.

The frisky owner thought that Phui was about to pounce on his puppy and tear his guts out, not knowing that his causing more hurt to his vulnerable puppy then what Phui is doing!

Eventually, he picked his pup up and squealed - "His bleeding from the eye!!! Oh my GOD! My poor puppy!"

And probably under his breath : *damn you, you menacing and evil bull terrier!*

He gave us such a look as if our Phui has just killed his pup.

Another goldie owner came over quickly and looked at his pup and told him - that's not blood. His probably been scratched while playing. Everyone peeped at the tiny little dot on the puppy's eye lid. It could have easily been there while the pup was playing! GOSH! And, he called that a gushy????

Sigh - my poor little phui have been accused of "attacking" another innocent dog. Again. To be really honest to myself - some dogs have done worse to my not so little Phui.

PD was quick to be there and apologise, but, he was pretty frustrated and told the owner of the puppy. If he really bites, I doubt he will even let go of your dog.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA...

That's true to boot. If Phui is really out to get that puppy - he would have been torn at the belly.

Thank goodness for the rest of the regular doggie owners there who knows phui phui since he was a puppy. They were none too worried about the incident. They even told me not to worry as frisky owners will always be around. (",)

Strangely, we do see huge, ferocious dogs like doberman and Mastifs and Rottlweilers - so much larger then Phui Phui. They are bred as guard dogs... yet, owners walk around and allow their little ones play with them without a quip. And yet, when it comes to phui - they'll whisper in low voices... "BULL TERRIER. BULLL TERRIER. Very fierce one leh.. They will bite!"

I hear this at least three times when we are at the dogrun every week - strange isn't it? That no one mentions anything about big, "killer" dogs, but will make remarks like the above when they see Phui Phui. And, they haven't even seen Phui before.

Many a bull terrier owner have told me and PD that Phui has such a sweet natured. His been nipped at by Jack Russells and Silky Terriers. Attacked by a puppy husky. Cornered by a golden retriever. But, never for once has he retatliated. I do indeed feel very proud of his sweet and lovely nature.

Of course, having said that PD and I are still on our guard and we watch him closely when he plays with other dogs, just in case. Like they always say, there may be a slight chance where Phui realise that his much stronger then the rest of the dogs, and get fed up of being Mr Nice Guy and starts to bite back.

But, I am certain my Phui has a fine temper..... (",)

When We Do Not Phui-Phui Proof the House

The result of PD and me not phui phui proofing the house will result in the following :

1. 1 Mac gloss with holes in it and LUST gloss seeping out
2. 1 MontBlanc watch strap with phui's dental markings
3. 1 gummy gastric capsule
4. 1 lost gastric pill out of. (1 gummy, 1 broken)

Sigh.

PD and I went out shopping in Bugis - one of our few shopping escapades in town during a weekend. Thinking that Phui has always been a good boy during the work days, being alone on weekends shouldn't be too difficult for our four-legged white furry boy.

Unfortunately, we have over estimated our little boy. Sigh.

What our guess was - phui must have reached out over the dinning table and grabbed my little pouch placed in the middle of the table. PD must have placed his watch on top of the little pouch.
And, while we were out, and Phui feeling bored, he decided to drag something fun to play. He probably remembered the cool stuff mummy has pulled out of the pouch before she left. Something that she stick in her mouth (that means food. YUMMY!)

So, on the task his set himself to do. He tried to drag it down with his really useful snout. God knows how long he took - he did manage to get it off the table. In the process, probably dragging down PD's watch too.

When the pouch was on the floor, he got his way around unzipping the pouch. Yes! Unzipping. Without fingers! have absoluately no idea how he does it. He could have used his snout and little bitty teeth and paws to get it open. He does it all the time.

Dragged out everything that looks fun to play with.

That entertained him for quite a few hours I suppose.

His probably ditched the lip gloss as it tasted gummy and his probably notice that his paws were turning into some shade which he can't tell - but it probably felt sticky to him. Stopped playing with that pink gummy thing and turned his attention to the sweet like stuff in a package.

Phui : Cool! Foil!!!!
At this point, he dugged out 2 pills and probably tried licking it. Thank god its gastric pills and not some strong medication that could kill little 4-legged.

The last item's probably the watch. He brought his "toys" behind his nice and cozy area behind the front door. He must have thought - I'll keep myself entertained while waiting for mummy and daddy. (",) I'm so smart.... There's a blanket there to keep me warm and cozy too.

But unfortunately, phui knows no better.

No, he wasn't punished that badly. Just a stern eye and a slap on his paw. But, that was enough to cause him to be depressed. But, depression didn't last long - he was in no time his happy chirpy self again.
