Happy Belated B-day Singapore

Sinapore turned 41 this year - tonnes of sales at the mall were mimicking Singapore. I didn't take advantage of that though. Most of the time was spend cleaning and keeping house. No complaints though - such chores are taken in stride with gladness and excitment.

And guess what butons - I cooked! yes, a pretty decent meal too, I might add. Momoo's proud of me ... me too... *smirk*

But honestly, I didn't really think I'll make it that far, that is, to keep house.. Think I did durn pretty well. (",) I do really deserve a pat on my back. Well - reason being, if those of you who know me well enough, I'm never made to keep house... well.. at least, I don't do house hold chores for my full 20 odd years when I stay under my parents' roof.

Now that I have my own home - its a refreshing change to have to do everything on my own. Some might go.. "oh your poor thing..." but strangely, I am glad to find out that I'm not that "spoilt" really. I do pretty well if I do have to do it. Haha! And, I am able to manage.

So - yes, this is an achievement.

And just last week, a close friend asked me what I have recently achieved. Me ? This of course. I know some people strive to be the best at work, climb the corporate ladder and make their first million and all that tangible equations. For me, its not the objective itself, but the intangible value it means to me and to the people whom I care for.

It came as a pleasant surprise to Momoo that I am able to do so - he wasn't hopeful and yet he made that "dangerous" move. To start life with a total "spoilt" brat. Who don't cook, don't clean. Neither the laundry nor vacum/sweep the floor. He was walking on thin ice, in being domesticated male of the century. Yet, he decide - and went ahead.

Thank you for the love and support Momooz.....

Helloww little ones...

Hi all,

its been a long time since I've blogged anything. Blame it on the very busy traveling schedule - the numerous To-DO list when one's getting a place of her own. And with the crazy work schedule. Yes, that sums it all - I've been busy with all these.

Hmm... much to update since I last logged in.

First, I visited n Vietnam for business. I wish I was on a holiday. That place is loooovely. (",) I particularly love Hanoi. There are some places that you simply fall in love the minute you set foot on land. It was anticipation building -- First, I was at Saigon -- City of Vietnam. Where all the businesses and corporate rules. It was lovely in a "city" way, I enjoyed seeing scooters with so many commuters zipping by, without road dividers, white lines, double yellow lines, single white line. Its amazing to see how your driver go against drivers without the rest of the motorists honking like crazy (yes, like those deranged Singapore drivers we use to get. honking angrily at anyone who dares to stop even for a spilt second when the green light comes on. In Singapore, there seems to be be an expectation that one needs to zoom off the next nano sec the lights turn) So, me, from honking traffic conditioned sees extreme graciousness in the Vietnamese.

Kudos! to these people! It warms my heart to know that decent motorists DO exist.

My next stop within that same week was to Hanoi. Charming little city. I fell head over heels in love with that city. Its never before that such a place has such an effect on me. I simply love all those narrow, colourful houses that lined the free way from the airport to Metropo. Its a good 45mins ride, but I enjoyed it every bit of the way - seeing the Mekong river on my right, and the lovely french style houses on my left. I am so bless!

(",)

I was puting up at Metropol - a le Raffles hotel - lovely. lovely. lovely. That place is simply lovely. I enjoy the wonderful room - its a shame that we were only there for 2 nights.

Dinner for 2 nights were a balony style fusion food. The food was fantastic, the ambience, perfect. How I wish Momoo was there with me. He would love this place - the good food and lovely people. . .

And yes, not to mention the lovely white choc strawberry cake after a long day's work. There's a small little cafe that serves up lovely cakes and pastries. You'll also be amaze at the roadside carts with bagettes with lettuce and yummy sandwich fillings. Hmm... but not that enticing enough for me to decide to take a bite. At least, not on that trip. I've heard enough "horror" stories on diahrroe plague days and having to conduct meetings and conferences while trying to stop having your hair and the back of your neck stand and killing all of your senses to try to stand up straight. Not my idea of comfort.

So.. no roadside meatloaves ... for now...
